Beau LOves AW16 - Quirky kids fashion from the UK

Image
Beau LOves  is one of my absolute favorite kidswear brands out there! I love their raw and edgy gender-neutral style, the always curated though simple cut in their garments and their dark but still infantile prints - such a brilliant combination of cool contrasts! The London based brand gets its inspiration from the designer,  Faye Wilde's  son Beau and what ever interests and moves the boy at the particular moment of the creation of the collection. For their Autumn-Winter collection 2016 Beau is questioning on the Solar System, atoms and Cosmos: "So do we live on a planet that cicles the Sun, which moves the Sea and is the only known planet to have life on it?! Are they sure this is science? It sounds like magic to me!" Stunning, right?! The Beau LOves  AW16 collection is all produced in Portugal and is called ' I Saw Galaxies In Your Eyes '. Since Beau is growing older now the brand's brilliant mix of quirky prints, like planets and constellations, are actu

Coolest kids' swimwear for summer 2015!

Oh, I am so enjoying a bit of me-and-my-big-fat-tummy-time here on my almost-maternity leave, having time to read, do yoga and even watch an occasional movie! I haven't had that since my last maternity leave 4 years ago. Very big stuff! So lately I am just seeing the coolest swimwear for kids everywhere I look and so I thought I'd better share some of my finds with you, since this has not at all been an easy task for me other years. I always seem to find them being too boring, too hula hula, too girlish or boyish and with the same flower print, marine theme or palm trees every year (this goes for adult sizes too!) and which has never been me (I take black with me to my grave).  Awesome Nununu Plus swimsuit found in Fourmonkeys But the kids market has definitely started to get a little more interesting these last couple of years, first of all, with the more original and experimenting brands amplifying their collections of quirky designs to swimwear without this necessarily havi

Beau LOves SS15 Sneak peek!!!

Oh yeah! In less than two weeks one of my favorite kidswear brands releases their new spring collection: Beau LOves ! Ones again they nail it with the coolest styles for boys and girls, being full of little bugs and beasties (my daughter is so gonna break out in a happy dance when she sees it!). They stay faithful to their awesome monochromes only mixed up with a soft lime and dusty pink, and contrasted with their impressive black prints. Beau LOves gets their inspiration from the designer,  Faye Wilde's  son Beau, what ever interests and moves the little boy at the particular moment of the creation of the collection. Some things stick (like the superheroes - of course!), but as he gets older something new always pops up.  As always, their brilliant look book is photographed by Scottish genius  Flannery O'Kafka  and here is a little sneak peek ;) I love it all!! That Love bug dress (oh my!), those quirky little ants... So good! All of the Beau LOves  collection is 100% made in

Out and about: Boats!

So this weekend we did one of our absolute favorite things, going to the sea to have a seafood paella! Sorry, when I even started thinking about the camera we were already way in to the coffee, so no photos of that baby, but man it was good! Anyways, the best thing for my daughter, O., was definitely the walk around the port, admiring all of the beautiful boats and dreaming about taking one of them to sea. She is fascinated about all kinds of transportation, but there is something special or romantic and almost mystical about boats sailing off into the ocean that just makes you wonder and imagine the life out there...     O. is such a busy little bee, it is so lovely seeing how everything interests her and how easily amazed she is with even the most insignificant little doodle. All things must be examined and at the moment everything even talks, whether it's a small ant, a beautiful stone, a piece of garbage or a tree about to be peed on! I love walking around with her making up al
