Sponsor highlight: Busy and the Boy online shop

Image
Today is a special day cause I am introducing you to one of my new sponsors: The super cool online kidswear shop  from the UK, Busy and the Boy . They have really got such a funky selection of designer clothes and accessories in the age range of 0-10 years from brands like Indikidual , Popupshop , Boys & Girls , Loud Apparel , Wolf & Rita and much more. I love their minimalist style with lots of cool monochromes, edgy prints and overall street attitude, oh yeah!  I wanted to get to know a bit more about the shop so I had a little talk with the founder Lana Keen which you can see below. You also do not want to miss the   discount code further down, wink wink ;) Cute Graffiti in online shop Busy and the Boy Tell me a little about yourself, what is your background?  I’m Lana, mum to Finn and Ava and have recently launched Busy and the Boy – a kids clothing website.  What gave you the idea to start Busy and the Boy?   I became a mum firstly to Finn (aka the Boy) 7 years ago and

Milk & Biscuits Autumn-Winter 2014/15 kids fashion collection

Image
I love the new Milk & Biscuits collection! It's a limited, but very well made collection with a cool mix of casual styles combined with more traditional cuts and always maintaining that special, quirky British flair. The Anglo-Chinese kids clothing brand was founded in 2013 by the experienced art director Kate Smith who fell in love with a Shangheinese man on one of her travels in Asia. Many years later and with a couple of kids in the middle, they came up with the lovely Milk & Biscuits. This season's look book is shot by the brilliant photographer Michelle Marshall . The scene is an old school 70's photo booth reviving those fun and crazy "retro selfie" moments. It is such a cool idea and completely sets the mood of the collection, it sure does leave most of us with a smirky smile on our face thinking back on those times, right?!  My two favorites from the Milk & Biscuits AW14 collection  are the cool  Herring bone denim sweatshirt  and that fab swe

Out and about: Boats!

Image
So this weekend we did one of our absolute favorite things, going to the sea to have a seafood paella! Sorry, when I even started thinking about the camera we were already way in to the coffee, so no photos of that baby, but man it was good! Anyways, the best thing for my daughter, O., was definitely the walk around the port, admiring all of the beautiful boats and dreaming about taking one of them to sea. She is fascinated about all kinds of transportation, but there is something special or romantic and almost mystical about boats sailing off into the ocean that just makes you wonder and imagine the life out there...     O. is such a busy little bee, it is so lovely seeing how everything interests her and how easily amazed she is with even the most insignificant little doodle. All things must be examined and at the moment everything even talks, whether it's a small ant, a beautiful stone, a piece of garbage or a tree about to be peed on! I love walking around with her making up al

Tale of Boy - Cool and edgy kids style from the UK

Image
Today I am loving the British kids fashion label Tale of Boy . It's a small scale brand making unique, handmade children's clothes designed and produced in London. They draw inspiration from the wonderful multitude of subcultures in their surroundings and the general buzzing life in the city, creating their  own particular edgy and raw style that I am completely crazy about!  Awesome prints, playful textures and funky cuts, oh yeah! I have had the pleasure of receiving these super cool kids fashion shots by the lovely photographer Alexandra Cooper , which I have mixed with some of my favorite styles currently available in their webshop . Leah Rose , the designer behind Tale of Boy , produces very limited collections monthly or bimonthly to ensure the uniqueness of every product, and from there on never looks back. So if you have fallen for one (or ten..) of their styles do not hesitate to go for it right away, cause tomorrow there are big chances of them being gone! The Tale of

Hambro & Miller AW14 - Cosy Scandi style knitwear for kids

Image
There is something really special about hand knitted clothes - the uniqueness of the particular garment, the art, the time and love put into the work, they can even provoke a certain melancholic mood, a sense of reassurance and above all, the word 'cosy' seems to always fit in. The UK based brand Hambro & Miller creates traditionally styled, hand knitted children's clothing using the finest natural yarn, like Baby Alpaca. Their collections aren't led by fashion, but emphasize on the traditional craft and take inspiration from the Scandinavian roots of the company to create practical, comfortable and very cosy, gender-neutral styles. I love this kind of garments, so calm yet funky in a retro way, and simple and natural yet they never get boring for their versatility - very Scandi! I especially have my eye on the waistcoats which are just perfect for layering, mixing and matching, and the raglan jumpers and warrior boots are adorable! Check out the whole collection
